Mk4 Exhaust Mounts

Gday Guys
Ive had to fit 20mm spacers to both side pipes. It was either that or cut off the mounts from the pipes or adjust the cut outs in the body by the same.The body appears to be sitting correctly but the pipes are forward 20mm in relation to the chassis mount.
Ive read of guys fitting washers on earlier mk3's but is this still the case on the 4's

Hi Chris,

Do you mean you needed 20mm between the faces of the header sidepipe flanges? If that's the case, and you needed it on both sides, it might have something to do with your engine and cylinder head configuration. Is that 5.4L spec what you've got in your car? Do you have any photos?

All sorted now thanks mate. Yeah the 5.4 is taller and the cats had to be modified to suit the exhaust manifolds but I think the exhaust guys may not have got it quite right and Ive got some spacers there.
