To me it would seem the kick up should centre over the axle. Notice mine does not. Yes i know i used shorter mufflers but compensated for the length with the clamp... (Again i refer you back to that post)

I have extenders that i could use if i have to, to push the rear section further back. If i do so and centre that kick up over the axle, am i correct in assuming the tips will land in a suitable location?

Does anyone have measurements

The exhaust tips on mine fall about an inch or slightly less from making it past the body.

I will do some digging to see if I have a picture that shows an "over axle" shot.

I found this picture. It looks like I am more than an inch short of making it past the body. And you can see that the "over axle" pipe is forward of the axle tube. If you look closely, you can see that if the "over axle" piece were brought back, it would make contact with the lower trunk wall. The only way to get the exits past the body would be to cut off the FFR outlets and extend the pipes via welding in a short section. Or, cut off the FFR outlets, buying whatever style you like and clamping them on.
