I have a Quick Time bellhousing between my 393 and tko600. I was watching a engine factory video and they were saying that you need to trim out the hole for the starter on the mid plate so that it wont stick or bind.....has anyone heard about this????

You are one busy guy! Don't know where you are in you build. Do you have the plate and bell housing on yet? If so you should be able to test fit the starter. I like to put mine in with the two bolts loose and feel how it goes up through the hole to the fly wheel. If there is any part of the plate that is sticking out in that hole, it can bias the starter lining up when you pull it tight. That sounds like what the warning is all about. It could require some trimming (or not). You don't want to ruin the flywheel or starter gear teeth or create a bind that would affect your free spinning engine when starting. Hope that helps. WEK.

Sounds like this is an issue you may or may not have. I havnt checked mine yet but it sounds like an easy fix if you know about it when you do the install. Check this video.
