Factory Five customer and Challenge Series Racer Wayne P. sent us a message with photos of his finished FFR ’33 Hot Rod. Wayne has been racing in the Challenge Series for 6-1/2 years, and when Factory Five came out with the ’33 Hot Rod in 2008, it took Wayne back to his high school days when he owned a ’33 Plymouth Coupe, which he took down to the frame and built back up with a Buick V8. He drove it to high school in Princeton, NJ for two years and then sold it.

Wayne had thought about his old hot rod throughout the years, and when Factory Five released their own ’33, he decided to purchase the kit to relive his high school years. Wayne got his Hot Rod in October 2009 and said that it “is far superior to my old ’33. The kit included virtually all of the components for a complete car minus drive train and was fun to assemble in my shop.”

Wayne installed a Ford 302 with 375 HP built by the Engine Factory with a 5 speed Tremec transmission and Factory Five rear end. He also added some special custom features including hood side panel openings with stainless steel trim and FFR badge, a rear nerf bar bumper and subframe to support it, a custom console between the seats with a cup holder and locking box, and a faux painted dash with a burl wood look.

Wayne is starting to bring his ’33 to local car shows and has been getting rave reviews. Congratulations on a great build, Wayne!

For the last couple years, I have been using Wayne P. as my signature (AKA as Britpit) so that I am differentiated from (plain) Wayne, whom I believe is Wayne Presley.

As much as I would like to take credit for this beautiful car, it would certainly be misplaced; the rightful owner should receive all of the well-deserved accolades.

As stated already, congratulations on a great build.
