Cost effective - left arm. (staight out for left, hand up for right).

I bought a VW turn signal arm and mount off ebay, bought the required relay and only had about $35 in the whole deal. Works great.

Don't have a pic at the moment, but here is a link to roughly the same unit on ebay. You'll have to figure out how to mount it- I used a Kirkham steering shaft mount sleeve, which is machined at the top end to fit the VW turn signal.

X2! Dollar for dollar, this is probably the most cost effective approach. A bit more work by the builder but a great sense of accomplishment when it all works as it should. I love mine and plan to do the same on the next build.
