How do you guys feel about having a "Helpful Post" indicator on each post?

The tool also includes a few admin screens so we can find posts that stand out easily. Depending on what criteria we set up for WHY a person would give a post a thumbs up, it might make it easier to find posts that should be in a WIKI or to give recognition for "post of the month" or help us find a post that is causing problems:

Also, I was thinking it could be used as a verification tool for the registry. Fellow owners who have seen a car in person or who know the owner can "vouch" for it being a FFR. (Believe it or not, people actually look for "genuine" FFRs now)

Thoughts?

Sounds good to me! So now we're naming it "helpful post indicator" instead of likes????? :p!

It can be used for "likes" but I think it would be better if we used it for "helpful". I'm looking for a way to reward folks who are willing to put a lot of thought and wisdom in to what they post. And it would be easier to find potential WIKI posts if it gets a lot of support behind it.

Would it be possible to have "helpful" and one for "like"? Not trying to complicate things, but I can't tell you how many times I've wanted to click like on a post and those generally aren't the same ones I'd call helpful. The "likes" one wouldn't have to be tracked by the moderators, just for us to express we like a comment.

Thought and wisdom? I guess I'm never getting a thumbs up for my posts! Ha!

Seems like a great idea, let's do it!
