Here in Arizona and I meet a MK4 owner that is 15 min away, not only that....his wife used to work for Shelby Racing in the mid 60s, knew all the drivers and went to LeMans with the team. She gave me a ride today and it was awesome

Ever since I started the process of getting my build plans together, I have been amazed at the quality of the myriad people I have "met," whether in person, on-line, over the phone, whatever! My next door neighbor introduced me to his new wife. They just got married at 80 something and 70 something. When she visited the house for the first time she had a box with her. She pulled out a cream colored mug with gold trim and a cobra with Shelby Cobra written on it. There were also some glasses with cobras etched on them. She worked for Ford at some time in the past so she got them at work. She said, "I always loved those cars". You would not have expected those words to come out of her mouth but then I guess you can't always judge a book by its cover. Maybe you will get some Cobra swage from your new friends.
