There's just a few small things to do before I can say that it's 100% completed but as someone said, "it's never done".
Just wanted to thank everyone again for their feedback and assistance throughout my build. I really couldn't have done it without your help.
Many thanks,
Ron

That's a very clean look you have. Definitely not an accident. Good work, Ron. Enjoy driving it. WEK.

Thanks guys.
On past projects, I have enjoyed the building more than the driving but I don't think that will be the case with the MkIV.
I have the splash panels fitted but going to have them sprayed with bed liner before I install them. As you can see from one of the pics, I definitely live "out in the sticks" and the gravel and pine straw get all in the wheel wells.
Waiting for my insurance from Midwest and will be able to apply for tags and title and be legal.

I was looking at your pictures thinking there is something about this car I really like. So I ask my self what make it stand out. Clean lines brought about by having no roll bars and no side pipes. Great Job .... Love the color too. JJ

Wow ditto!
Very nicely done!
You should be very proud. One can just see and feel the craftsmanship from the neat and organized engine bay to the interior and vintage exterior.
Very impressive!;)

Looks great! I also ran my exhaust under the car with headers and the exhaust from Stainless Headers. How did you route the exhaust, and did you have to sacrifice a lot of ground clearance? On my car with the Coyote engine its a tight fit but the mufflers are under the seats and I lost about a half inch of ground clearance..

Thanks again for the great feedback.
David - I have a set of Ford Racing headers installed left to right and fabricated the exhaust system from that point (do a forum search). The FFR manual listed a set of headers but after waiting six weeks, canceled the order since the manufacturer never scheduled them to be made. Found out through forum that a particular header from Ford Racing would work but they were obsolete however found a NOS set on eBay. Used Spin Tech over pipes and low profile mufflers and routed under seat, up and over rear end and out the back. Pretty much followed the path used by original car. I think I lost about the same amount of ground clearance that you did.

Beautiful car! I really like the smooth street look, with no scoop or roll bars.

Thanks again.
I had to do my homework to be able to use a 351W based engine and no hood scoop. I used the Edelbrock Torker II intake manifold which has a very low pad height (4.5"). This put the carb low enough that the oval air cleaner would clear the hood. I put a piece of modeling clay at the front edge of the cleaner and closed the hood. The clay compressed to 9/16" which is plenty of clearance. Note I had to add a 1" spacer between the carb and manifold because the bottom of the air cleaner hit the distributor. If I had used a smaller air cleaner, the spacer wouldn't have been necessary.
The Torker II has plenty of grunt in the lower rpm range but drops off in the upper. Fine with me, I was looking for low end torque and not high rpm horsepower.
If anyone needs any of the parts I didn't use like scoop, roll bar, j-pipe, carpets, send me a PM.

Don't mean to hi-jack this thread, but I couldn't agree with you more about the beauty of the street car. The voluptuousness of the body is highlighted by the absence of the sidepipes and the hood scoop. You've done an absolutely beautiful job. I hope that you don't mind, but here are a few pictures of my long gone 427 street car, FFR1293K

John,
Thanks for posting the pics of your beautiful car. As I mentioned in another post, your car was my inspiration to build a street version. Sorry to hear you don't have it any longer.

niiiiiiiiiiice! that is one gorgeous build. tell us more of the engine specs. 392? Also would be nice to see undercar pics to see how you configured exhaust. Congrats and WELL DONE!! and BTW... no roll bar will get some attention from the safety nazis. how COULD you! ;)

Thanks again guys. Appreciate the comments.
Todd - I put up several posts during construction on the under car exhaust system. A forum search will find them all. The engine is a 410W. Nothing real fancy.....Eagle rotating assembly, Edelbrock Performer heads and Torker II intake, Holley 770 cfm aluminum Street Avenger carb, MSC ready-to-run distributor, FE big block valve covers and adapters from Mark at Breeze. Tried to keep it as simple as possible.
