I have always loved the '65-67 Shelby Cobra ever since I had a hot-wheels one as a kid. I even bought a model in junior high. I have dreamed of buying one, and stumbled across Factory Five a few times. Yesterday I caught the bug to actually build one, and think I have my wife convinced too. I definitely fell in love with the MK4 and my wife did too. We are starting to save our pennies now. I'm still a few years out before I can buy the kit, but I figured this is a good place to start learning what I need to know before I buy the kit.

I'm moving in a year for work when I finish my training. I think I will just *have* to buy a house with a bigger garage so I have a place to build the car. I'm looking forward to having a car put together with my two hands... I'll be perusing the forum for a while until I get the money to buy the kit! I guess I have to figure out how to pick an engine, transmission, rear end, and what parts go with them, and where to buy those parts. All part of the fun!

Welcome to the forum. This place has a reputation of helping spend your money. By the way, you can never have too BIG of a garage!

Ha ha. My wife wants a big kitchen, I want a big garage...

And don't worry, I already knew joining the forum will help me spend my money! I figured if I joined I am one step closer to realizing my dream.
