I just got my rims in yesterday and I was thinking of getting them powder coated. Would it be easier/better to get them painted or powder coated? If someone has done this can you please post a pic so I can see. In case your wondering I got the 17 inch Halibrand rims from FFR.

Secondly I would also like to have my exhaust glossy black but I dont know if that is even possible due to the heat. Anyone have advice or seen something like this done. Once again thanks

P0wder coating will hold up better than most paints. Most of the Halibrand wheels that I have seen coated have been white.

You can get ceramic coating in gloss black. That is what I would recommend for the sidepipes. The wheels don't get hot enough to worry about and powder coating them will be fine...

Ceramic coat your headers and sidepipes. It helps keep the heat in the pipe and I think they cool more quickly. Powder coating will not work on exhaust.

Generally speaking powder coating looks the same as painting. But it's a much more durable coating. If you want the coating to last, get it PC'ed.
