Has it been finalized what all comes with the R that is not included with the S? I'm curious if the $1,000 up-charge comes with some additional options or parts?

All I know are 1 thing:

- KONI suspension is also compression and rebound adjustable on the R (available as option on the S, apparently, even it's not listed).

It's possible the rear wing comes with the R. I hope so!!

If it's only a $1000 option, I wouldn't count on the wing. At least not the same one that has been seen so far.

Doubt the wing comes with it. It's an APR wing that cost ~$1500 or so IIRC. I would think the extra frame members cost something, plus weld time, rear view mirror and mount for dash, side mirrors, steering column and the front mini windshield are things that come to mind that are different on the 818R prototype.

They told me the final options for the R will be known the end of this week, or the beginning of next.

The spoiler will 100% not be included.

It isn't the options, so to speak, that I am wondering about but rather the differences in parts included with the base kits.

Yes that too.

I think it is unofficial, or if official (can't remember who mentioned that in another thread) it's not written yet cuz I haven't seen it either.

If you get an answer, plz let us know. :)

The R comes with a Kirkey seat. Wing is extra, CF parts are extra.

It does not come with DA Koni's, but they are nicer parts than what comes on the S.

They can keep that crappy seat. Give me credit.

I too would probably take the $150? credit and apply it to powder coating/options. Although its cheap enough that I may just use it for mock up, and sell it at the swap meet when I get my other seats.

^$150 for a nice Kirkey? Its not like they had the dirty cheap economy seat in there with a vinyl cover. Not sure exactly what seat would be included but the intermediate road race seat goes for about $450 with a cover.... http://www.kirkeyracing.com/index.php?link=browse&code=Series47

Just got the call from Jay regarding the R. I was given a $195 credit for declining the Kirkey seat.

The only R dependent option that I was given was the option to get a full windshield as well as the molded one.

I was told no mirrors will be included, so reuse/modify your factory ones or go aftermarket. He also said he believed the suspension to be identical, but sounded unsure. I hope he is mistaken.

That being said, the $805 seems to be strictly for the additional frame/welding/molded windscreen, I imagine not giving you an mr2 windshield or the surround saves THEM money as well.

Tnx for the info, for me it was that apparently double adjustable suspension as option on the S, but looks like there are chances you get the same on the R, but then again, still unconfirmed.

If it's not DA, I'd contact KONI to see my options just before I order the 818.

Are there any updates to the official 818R differences? Specifically suspension.
