Next to color of the paint scheme I know that wheel choice is one of the things that a lot of people struggle with so I thought I would post a couple of photos of my Roadster with different wheels to at least give a visual comparison. May be this will help someone, may be not  .

When I first built my car I bought PSE Halibrand (GT40) Replicas.

Then I got into Auto X and got a set of black center FR500's to mount an extra set of track only tires.

Recently I sold the PSE's and FR500's and got a set of polished center CCW Classics with A6's from a forum member as track wheels.

And I replaced the PSE's with a set of CCW Classics with black centers for street use.

Thanks Mike, I am trying to decide what to order for my roadster (it's in transit). I didn't buy the Halibrand wheels, thought I would try something different. I was looking at the FR500's so its great to see them on the car!

If anyone else wants to post some wheel pics, that would be great :)

I love it but it's definitely addictive. I try to moderate my investment in track time (with some success) but I've noticed that others here are truly hooked and pour money into going fast.

Here's a silver FR500 on my car. Sorry I don't have a photo of the fronts and backs together.

The FR500's worked very well on my car with just about perfect offsets and I loved the look of the black center.

Hi Mike,

What are your setups on the diff and front suspension on your car (87 to 93 Fox widths)? Thank you, WEK.

Hi Mike,

What are your setups on the diff and front suspension on your car (87 to 93 Fox widths)? Thank you, WEK.

I have SN95 spindles on the front with standard width FFR upper and lower arms. I have the SAI kit installed but that doesn't alter the width. The PSE's required a spacer to clear the Ford Cobra brakes all the other wheels bolted straight on with plenty of clearance. I have run Fox front spindles with the PSE's and FR500's and there was still plenty of clearance. The SN95 spindles push the wheels out about 3/8" per side wider than Fox. The front tire shown on the PSE's is a 245 all the other rims show a 275. The 275 will rub the F panel at hard lock.

The rear is a Fox width solid 8.8 axle without ABS (slightly narrower than post Fox with ABS). No spacers needed to clear the brakes. The PSE's had a 285 all the other rims had 315.
