I know members are doing the mods to fit the Coyote into the Coupe which is awesome. I was just wanting to know if FFR was doing or planing to offer an option for foot box panels to accommodate the engine without having to mod the existing ones?

I recall reading in one of the threads that they do offer a kit to install the coyote in a coupe, it's just not in the catalog yet. If you give them a call, they should be able to help you out.

Thanks John

Hi guys,

We don't have a specific Coyote install setup for the Coupe, and I'm not sure whether we will, but there are just a couple of considerations to be made if you're planning to run the Coyote. If you add the 4.6L / modular LH footbox aluminum panels and just use modular engine mounts (which we can easily spec out on an order), the engine will bolt in. I think you need to also make a very small mod for the RH footbox, but that would be a custom one that you can tackle during the build, and you may also need to do a little customization with the driveshaft length.

Like John said above, just give a call, and we can go over it in detail.

thanks!

Jason @ FFR

As Jason said the mod motor footbox panels work well. I was able to use the driveshaft from a 302 setup, it's just a little shorter than ideal but so far has worked fine. Right side footbox needed a small trim to clear the right cylinder head, but it's ot a big deal, just a a little work with the tin snips and some aluminum panels...

I think there are some photos of the right side clearance problems in one of the earlier build photos of my thread, coyote competition coupe.

Welcome and best of luck with your build!
