Oil Pressure Light

Here's a quickie.
Can I run a wire from the oil pressure sensor on the block (where the oil pressure gauge wire is attached) to the red light on the dash or do I need a new separate sensor? Thanks

You need a separate sensor for the light. The pressure sensor gives out a signal that varies w/ pressure. The light sensor is just a switch that comes on at a preset pressure. You may have options as to what pressure you want it to come on at.
