So got my Cobra this week and started working on it this weekend and got it striped down. Was planning on getting farther but it was so hot outside I thought I was going to pass out. Its just as fun as you all said it would be!!!184811848018479

Be careful about riveting everything too early. You can work around the F-Panels a bit, but some of the others will be pain or near impossible.
Yep, it's lots of fun and the more you build the more motivated you will become (at least that's what kept me going).
Now that mine is running and body on (still gel-coat), on a clear / sunny day, I'm driving instead of working on it.
Keep us posted! And Congratulations!

With the riveting I plan only doing it when the book tells me to... should I skip some to make it easier down the road?

The only thing that got tight for me was that the rear cockpit wall makes it hard to get to the upper trunk floor forward rivets. A swivel head rivet gun and a 90 degree drill adapter made it work for me.

I see you live in texas so I get the hot but you need to fix that. Go to HD or lowes and get the largest window unit they have that runs on 110V unless you have a ready 220V outlet. I have a 10000btu unit in a 2.5 car garage that helps a ton. I wish it were larger, but even so it works. An AC unit in the wall to keep the humidity in bounds and a fan on a stand to keep air moving onto you will make things a lot more enjoyable.

Take the time and build a body buck, get the body off the floor. Maybe even post to see if anybody has one that they are not using .
