Picked up the trailer and will pack up tomorrow evening for the trip back to Mecca...
seems like it's gonna be a long ride...but I get to see my Dad, his Wife, Brother, Sister and all the rest of the family on this dual purpose trip....so basically get to see BOTH my families ... my blood family and my Factory Five Family....and the newest member of my car Family ...my very own 818....it will sit perfect next to the Green Lantern....
but first.....I have to do this!

Have a safe trip.
I can wait till Friday for my trip from Vermont.
I find myself wishing I was younger so that when I finish my roadster build I could start on an 818. I have been following it since its beginning and it really looks like an exciting car.
But then I've got other projects and plans waiting for me when I finish my car.
See you there, George

Fun times! (well, maybe not the driving there, but definitely the driving back).
It's 947 miles for me one way. I'd have to make the cost less than 50 cents/mile to make it worth it to pick it up (financially). Add in all my V-days are pre planned and I'm out.

Now I feel incredibly lucky that I only have to drive 40 minutes down from Boston. :)

Would love to see you again Erik---why don't you just stretch your journey out, add several hundred more miles and a few days to come join us in London on the return leg of your trip next week! First round is on me :)
Wishing you safe travels!

Good luck on that one, my money is on him cutting his NE trip short so he can work on his 818...

No need. I bet his donor parts are in the truck bed. His buddy can drive while he puts it together in the trailer.
It will be fully assembled by the time he crosses the Mason-Dixon.

I'll be interested in how the kit fits in the trailer... I have a 16 x 8.5 enclosed like that or I could borrow a friends 20ft big tex open trailer...

I think you're right Wayne. By the time we leave LCS Erik will have built it into a roller!

well I made it 11 hours and 39 minutes or 667.8 miles....that ecoboost averaged 12.6 mpg pulling that brick...made it into Maryland... only about 440 miles to go.

Eric, looks like you have a good start on the trip, safe travels for the rest of it. Looks like on your map that you already know to avoide the GWB like the plague, but in case you didn't, 287 North to the Tap Z is far better.
(Better still if only FFR were a bit more North you could just take 81 up and avoide 95 through Conn all together, it's probably my least favorite piece of highway in the world)
