Well, this is an interesting turn. I just started bodywork and a friend who operates a vintage racecar shop asked me to store a customer's car for him... a rather old but as-delivered Kirkham. This car has been sitting for around 10 years with no planned date for work to begin. As such, I have it for as long as I need to use as an example... sort of the next-best thing to a real CSX, I guess.

That's pretty amazing to have that thing sitting right there in the next stall. So are you going to take measurements and lots of pics of the chassis and body? Will that have any effect on your build going forward? Can you beleive it is just in limbo with no immediate plans? What if they make you an offer you can't refuse? Just fantasizing vicariously! Thanks, WEK.

Thx for posting - Nice to see the aluminum body. Too bad the Kirkham has not been completed.

I understand the FFR frame and suspension is tops for performance and the new MK4 body was scanned from an original so in the end when your MK4 is complete is may be superior in all aspects (minus aluminum body). it will be interesting to see some side by side photos and a few additional close up photos of the Kirkham - engine bay, suspension, frame, interior cabin etc.

Thx for posting - looking forward to update

If you painted the FFR body silver......

The Kirkham guy might not notice for 10 or 12 years.

That's a beautiful street 427.

I wouldn't mind having that around. It must be torture now being able to finish it. I wonder what the owner is thinking?

There are several Kirkhams up here with the brushed finish, makes it easy to clean with a scothbrite pad!

Boy, I would really love to see some photos of the rear bulkhead including the sides/corners of the rear bulkhead behind the seat area :)

I'll post some tomorrow - if they're not what you need, just let me know and I'll put more up.

That's pretty cool.

I didn't realize the Kirkhams came partially assembled, I thought they were rollers or ordered as complete cars.
