I haven't really seen to many real good pics but in the ones I have seen the interior seemed to need a little upgrades. Does any body that have seen the interior in person have any pics they would like to share.. I think covering the dash. And building a small center console would go a long way on improving it. What other plans do we all have.

I want the R's Carbon dash in the S. Picture with a rug. When I was there the S was not in one piece, but the website has some good pics of the interior.

I didn't realize it was carbon. I guess I better open my eyes!

Doesn't look carbon to me, looks like the same black plastic I saw at Sema

Personally, I'd want to cover the exposed components and the metal--especially around the shifter area (though the S might very well come that way anyways).
The good news is, if you don't like what you get, you can always find a good interior guy and do whatever you want:

I'm planing the following:
Carbon fiber dash (real or vinyl wrap)
Center console (will contain Android tablet for GPS, audio functions, etc., and connected to OBDII for real time info)
Chrome or stainless steel shifter with custom ball on top
Gated shifter
Leather or vinyl trim, with carpet (everything covered - no metal showing)
Sound dampening treatment
Some kind of slider or protective coating on the bottom of the door / top of the rocker to prevent this:

Agreed, it is carbon (in the R) I have seen it in person many many times.

Thanks for the support Jim, not that I needed it, but I guess real carbon is only in the eye of the beholder, or maybe just people that have seen it up close and have a clue. In the 818R the dash is carbon, and so is the apr wing, and FFR designed complete aero kit, upper inner door panels, and some other small stuff to. Its time to start believing the ones that see the car in person!! I have seen the 818r 4 times with many more to come. Btw The 818r dash was carbon at Sema to.

I don't think it's so much a lack of belief, but rather those asking don't recall specifically who has seen it in person. If you said "I saw it in person, and it's real carbon fiber." I think that answers the question definitely! :)

Unless it's been stated by FFR (which I could have missed), I wouldn't automatically make the jump from a carbon part on the prototype to a carbon part on a production kit. It would be cool, but a negligible weight savings for that particular part - making it a mostly cosmetic addition better suited to the "S"?

The 818r dash is carbon as is going to be carbon, it has been stated and set in stone.

The carbon parts, suspension and brakes explain why the R is more money.

I thought both models were BYOB (bring your own brakes)

They are both byob, the 818r coilovers are height and rebound/damper adjustable vs just height in the 818s setup, which right there is almost 1k. The frame is 64% stiffer in the 818R and calls for a little more time and metal to construct, which brings it to the difference. The carbon dash is not really a huge offset in the cost equation, but the carbon aero kit will be like 800-1k or more as an option.
