Shoulder harness pads?

Has anyone purchased or made soft pads for the 3" Simpson shoulder harness? The nylon snags clothing and is rough on passengers skin.

If you are going to use a HANS for track day, then you might be forced by the track to remove the pads as they don't fit the 2.5" HANS belt guide.
