I think most of you have probably seen this picture already, but I noticed a couple interesting things.

I see 2 notable things about the 818 chassis relative to the other chassis:
It appears much wider
It has a LOT more cockpit space
Both are important, but the last one has been oft discussed and I therefore wanted to point it out. You can easily see how spacious it really is!

I sat in it a couple weeks ago while on a "business trip" and yes it is spacious. I would point out however that I was informed that it is an early prototype and does not represent the production frame. I doubt that the changes would impact interior space, but there you go.
By the way you won't meet a nicer group of people anywhere you go.

It has plenty of room, I am 5,9 so I had no issue, but even some 6'4 guys were getting in and were fitting with some room. It even has good hip and shoulder room

I was at F5R yesterday. It was very sad to see the red 818 in the corner all cut to crap, looks like it had been blown up. The production 818 was looking dynamite though, lots of changes to the body and frame between the 2 when they were sitting that close to each other. Anyone that can make the trip to open house will not be disappointed, Factory Five really hit a home run with this car.
And I agree, nicest group of people around, very knowledgable, extremely helpful and have not lost the sence that the client is more important to business success than just about anything else and that's from the top down. Very well run company with a bunch of very cool products.
The 818 will knock your socks off (this coming from a GTM owner).

This is one of the things i'm most worried about so thank you for the reassurance, i'll take as much of it as i can get. What a bummer it would be to put such significant time and money into the car just to get to a point where you realize it's not comfortable and/or you look goofy in it.
There is a picture out there that shows a guy who says he is 6'1' 190 (my size) and it looks good so i'm trying not to worry, but then my question is how big is this guy?

in my mind having ones head sticking in any part above the top of the windshield line is the goofiness/bear on a tricycle trigger (unless that's the design, like on a roadster hot rod)...not to mention the well discussed issues related to not being under the rollbar. I know this is all dependent on things like seat choice etc, and i'll defer to those with actual experience that say its nothing to worry about, but i wish there was more stuff out there re people of differing sizes sitting in the car with the body on it.
Also, what do you guys know about the ability to tailor the placement of the pedals and steering column?

Interesting -- what changes to the body did you notice?
