I'll post a few photo's when the roadster is completely finished (need to finalize rollbars and elephant ears yet) next week, but couldn't pass up the chance to share that the car passed state inspection and was licensed this morning! The kit hit my driveway on June 2, 2012 and I expect will be 100% (for now) completed by June 2, 2013! Got home from the DMV and went for a quick spin with my wife. I couldn't stop smiling!!!!

I'm also grateful that I had the opportunity to do this with my Dad. This was a dream of ours since I was 10 years old, and his far before that. It took 32 years to get 'er done, but how cool.

I'm also humbled by all the help from those of you on this forum who walked me through some pretty frustrating moments, with a great deal of clarity. Your help, helped greatly.

Slider-

Congratulations on the awesome milestone! I also think it is terrific that you were able to complete the project with your Dad. I think there's a special bond when you complete these cars with the help of someone close to you; the memories will be with you forever! I am also impressed that you knocked this out in a year--WOW! Can't wait to see the pictures.

Congratulations!

Regards,

Steve

Slider,

Congrats, NODAK! My wife and I will be in ND, the first week of August. Haven't planned out the route yet so don't know if we'll be passing through Fargo (NDSU grad, BSME '71). If so, we'll try and work out a quick stop to see your beauty! I'll send you a PM with my contact info. BTW, I grew up on a farm, south of New Salem, just west of Bismarck.
