4-link bracket question

Hi,
Decided to cut-off the 4-link brackets on the solid rear axle in case I need to put on anti-moan brackets in the future. I'm running rear coilovers, front brake mounts, 3-link.
Question; how far down does the weld need to be ground off to the axle tube? Flush or almost flush?
Figure it is easier now with the body off, that will learn me to think I was done with the rear axle. :rolleyes: Thanks, Marlin

I cut mine off and ground the welds flush with the axle tubes and then painted it, you can't even tell they were there.
