Hi all,

Currently we are building the coyote 5.0l with the 4r70w transmission in the Hot Rod.
For the transmission controller unit we are using the "PCS Simple Shift Transmission Controller".
We can hook up everything except for one thing.

The Throttle Position Sensor, this connector is required for operation.
Only it says:

Important note: DO NOT connect the TPS to a drive-by-wire throttle position sensor in any way.
Contact your dealer for information on how to install a separate throttle position sensor in this case.

The Coyote has a drive-by-wire throttle position sensor, so our question is:
Here in The Netherlands there is no dealership for this engine, does anybody have a wire diagram?

Thanks in advance.

I think they mean the Simple Shift dealer. Have you tried calling PCS?

I'm in the process of installing a 4r70W in my roadster, but I'm using a Baumann controller. Baumann sells a stand-alone throttle position sensor, mainly for use with a carbed motor, but it'd work with a drive-by-wire system also. I would think PCS would also have a stand-alone TPS available.

Pete

Dear OCCPete,

I contacted PCS but they are telling me that I need a Ford 5.0L coyote wiring diagram.

I have the same setup, Coyote 5.0 liter and 4R70W from Performance Automatic using the Simple Shift controller. Mine came with a small sheet of paper which told me which wires to connect to on the pedal harness in order to provide the throttle position input. I am at work, and do not have the sheet in front of me, but I just tapped the two wires it told me to use. I can provide the colors later on.
