We're excited about the ideas on the new 818 design coming from the Factory Five community. I saw this photograph of customer Karen Salvaggio and her comments giving credit to the late Dan Lawson for getting her started racing a Factory Five. I realized that the new 818 design and our company in general has benefitted tremendously by the contributions from so many talented people over the years.
The new 818 will be built on this strong foundation.

15 years and untold hours of street, track, building, and driving experience is getting poured into the latest Factory Five design. The new 818 is being built on the incredible foundation of Factory Fives history.

Ralph Button is a legend with over 400,000 street miles on his Mk1.

Dan Lawson entered his "Team Factory Five West" Challenge Car into the very first 25 Hours of Thunderhill. He was the first entrant and he contributed tremendously to the Factory Five race community before his death.

In the earliest days of Factory Five, Judge John Phillips called me from the top of Pike's Peak in his Mk1 Roadster.
These are three stories out of almost 8,000. Simply overwhelming.

the funny thing in that last pic is that there's a Subaru Brat parked behind the Mk1 Roadster
Then there was that time that D2W was the first to drive his 818 with a hardtop across the entire country, because he could... Wait, that hasn't happened yet;)

That inspires me to add a chapter for Factory Five Stories. There are too many that I know personally, NOT to share, and I'll bet I only know 1 percent of 1 percent of them.
That one-day build at Mike Seniors house and the early knotts shows were pretty cool!

Time lapse photos of a one day build would be cool.
