How far in advance do they call to tell you when they will be there. Do they give at least a days notice?

Kind of depends on where you are in the drop off list. I was 2nd or 3rd drop off. I got a call it would be Saturday, but the driver had to speed up a later delivery, called that night and delivered at 10PM. He would have waited to Saturday, but why would have I said no! :D

Stewart let me know when the truck was being loaded at FFR. And then notified me of the delivery day. They were right on the money. You are connected with the driver and will be able to talk to him. Great to deal with and the truck driver was helpful with checking inventory and correctly packing my pickup with all the parts. There are at least 20 boxes so have enough truck to handle the boxes. I was glad that I used Stewart.

I thought the communication from Stewart was excellent. The driver (Jim) called me as he was leaving FFR with an estimated delivery day. I was second on the schedule but I'm about 1200 miles away.Once he got closer he was able to set up the delivery time. I will tell you to plan for the unexpected. He showed up on time and when he opened up the doors you can imagine my excitement as I'm looking at my car. When he tried to unload my kit the overhead crane wouldn't work. After a few hours of trying to fix it, he had to leave and take it somewhere for repair. He returned the next morning at 6:00 a.m. Not a problem for me but everyone down the road was set back a full day. Stewart remained professional throughout and apologized for their equipment failure.
I am not complaining here and I am totally satisfied with stewart, but... the last two kits we purchased, we were not notified at any time. We would call to get status and they did give it to us. However on the coupe, we waited too long to call and by the time we did, we found out they were going to be there that afternoon.

My experience was unusual because the drivers delivery schedule changed at the last minute. I was only notified the evening prior to the delivery. To complicate matters, the truck was not allowed in my neighborhood, so the the morning of the delivery I had to rent a trailer from U-Haul. I was lucky that the U-Haul happened to have a trailer available on such short notice. That being said, the driver was great and took care of all the phone calls to check if he could get into the neighborhood in the first place as well as arranging a location to load mine and my friends cars with the the boxes (both suburbans, which were completely filled) and put the frame and body onto the trailer. The driver then came in my car to my house and helped get it into the garage.
All in all, I was oblivious to all the trouble because I was so happy to get the car in the first place.

I am sorry to see that everyone didn't have the same experience that I did. My delivery went very smooth and the driver was there when he said he would be. However, I knew that a 53 foot semi could not back down my road. So we met at a local Wal-Mart parking lot to unload. We filled my pick up with all the boxes and put the 33 Hot Rod on my open trailer. The hardest part of the whole day came when I unloaded the stuff and had to inventory all the parts!
