I figured we could post pictures of cool cars that we would like to somehow emulate with our 818's. Either the paint scheme, race livery, wheels, interior, etc, anything aesthetic.

So what are you using for inspiration in the design of your 818? Please share so we can all come up with some great ideas.



For me, I'm crazy about a white car with red interior, so something like this is mine:

I plan on fabricating a custom center console but don't know exactly how much space we have in the 818. I'd like to do something like the Aventador has but I think that would be something more easily achievable in the GTM.

I had collected some inspirational photos for interior ideas, but the more I look at the car, the more I find myself changing my mind. I was to go a bit more retro, but now I'm thinking more modern look involving high quality materials (some may be real, some may be fake and just for looks): Vinyl/leather, carbon fiber (I plan to use the carbon fiber vinyl wrap on the face of the dash), center console with tablet, etc. Where may retain some retro elements is in any switches (think Mini Cooper), and a gated shifter (for some reason, I REALLY want that!).

From a paint perspective, this is close, but prob not exactly what I'll do:

If FFR offers a REAL carbon fiber hood and/or deck lid that isn't too expensive I'll prob get those. If not, carbon fiber vinyl wrap should work. I plan to plasti-dip for any color I need that's not offered by FFR. I figure I can do that myself and if I mess up, just peel it off and do it again.

Mostly, though, for me this car isn't about how it looks. It's about how I feel when/after I drive it. These should sum it up!

I had the idea to do a similar two-tone/strip on the 818, and combined it with a Subaru theme to get this very rough MSPaint mock-up:

depending on when blue gel coat becomes available I also like this scheme in white over gun metal, and red over black...but blue over gold is what i'd really like to do.

I think the 818 would look piss'a in this color with the yellow calipers and carbon accents.

oooh, I do like that charcoal color, and white is second on my list as well. From what i'm gathering the street car FFR is currently building to show is going to be white. I will be very curious to see that.
