That is correct!
2 1/2" per side in the back, 1 5/8" per side in the front.

OK I'll ask,.....
Is the pin drive wider or narrower than standard?
And why is there 2 different widths on these cars?
What are the pros & cons of each?

Pin drive is narrower. You go pin drive when you want to use pin drive wheels, which have an adapter that bolts to the lug nuts. Then the wheel is put on the adapter and a knockoff is used to hold the wheel in place, like the originals
Yes, pin drive is narrower to accomadate the adapters BUT you can go with bolt-on wheels to obtain that super deep dish wheel. NorthRacecars (Rich Oben) can provide the correct wheels.

First off, sorry for the big photo that follows...
Here is a shot from HB last month. Dave Smith's Cobra on the right and mine on the left. Dave's is standard width with 17" wheels and mine has pin drive 15" wheels. hopefully you can see how much deeper my rims are than Dave's:
