Hello from down in Texas. I just ordered my cobra kit car from factory five and I cant wait to start on the build. I have been dreaming of this car since I was a little kid and my dad used to take me to the car shows. I finally saved up enough beans to buy the complete kit with the IRS package and trust me the days cant go by fast enough. I am currently stationed at FT Hood, TX in the US Army at a ripe age of 29 years old. I will definitely be using this website as a guide.

Congratulations on your kit purchase. Please be sure to keep us updated. And one of the rules here is no pictures--- it didn't happen, so please post lots of pictures!

One thing I have learned is that there isn't a question you might have that can't be answered here. Nearly everyone is friendly, and have similar goals and beliefs. We all want to build or have already built awesome cars and help others in their quest to do the same. It is a wonderful community of "friends," most of whom you will never meet!

The order doesn't ship until June 6th so I should have it by the end of the month. Just to keep you posted I am putting a coyote engine in her and going to try to go new school with her. Going black rims and accents (mirrors, mufflers, trunk handle, anything chrome is going to be black, ect.) and the paint is going to be a dark charcoal (gunmetal) with black racing stripes. I have no idea when I will be done building her because of deployments and things of that nature but I cant wait to even start.

Like the color scheme: black on black on black on black............etc!!! I, too, like that look. Have a look at Jeff Kleiner's car (gun metal look). I have some chrome on mine and love the Cobra Rs but the black rims do give it a Bada** look. I may get some Summit black rims for track tires down the line (Cragar Soft 8). I hope you get a good deployment and can get home safe and sound and back to your dream car. Good luck, WEK.
