Pedal Box Stud

The manual shows mounting the pedals to the pedal box using 3 button head bolts with locknuts and a stud.
Where would I find the stud? I'm looking for a bolt with threads on both ends, but can't find it anywhere. Am I looking for the correct piece?

I did not have a stud so I used four bolts and locknuts.

I think I figured it out. There was a bolt with a completely flat end. I believe that was what was referred to as a stud. It seemed to do the trick and hasn't been required for any other assembly yet.
