Stoneleigh 2013 - the UK Kit car show

I dragged the family up to the UK national kit car show over the past weekend. I took about 600 photos during the day we spent there. It was completely different to the way I would imagine the US kit car shows are run.

Anyway, for your viewing pleasure, I have posted a few photos (about 200) to photobucket.

Feel free to post individual photos and I will try and answer any questions you've got. They had Marcos, Mercedes, Ferraris (based on the Ford Kuga and/or MR2), Westfields, Caterhams, Locosts, Sebrings, Porche spyders, 427's, Gardner Douglas, Kirkham, AK, DB, Backdraft's with LS3's, Backdrafts with Coyote engines, electric kit cars, Rolls Royces etc. I have another 200 or so on my phone that I am yet to upload but will do that in the next few days.

Either way, it was a great day out and I ran around taking so many photos I almost forgot to stop and look at the cars myself. I've only just had a chance to sit down and look at the photos myself.

Another Kuga based Ferrari. If you take the fake engine out (the engine stays in the front), you can put all yoru luggage in, and even put the back seats in and small kids and sit in the back seats still.

I'm guessing this was to let air out the back of the wheel arch. I actually quite like the look of it - you couldn't tell from the front and I like function over form in some cases.

I think it was a Marcos. Let me check and I can get back to you. I have a friend that grew up on cars in the UK (I'm from NZ) so he knows them better than I do.
