Fair warning, this is going to be a vain question and most likely one for Brian or other series directors. I am heading down to Carolina Motorsports Park in a couple of weeks to race (NASA-SE). I think I have a very good shot of breaking the track record since I was only off by .3 last time there and that was before the upgrades. The issue is race participation. Right now it looks like I am going to be the only FFRC there except Lars, and he is going to run in Vintage V2. If I end up racing in V2 so I have people to actually race with but still in full Spec trim could I still get credit for a record? I know there isn’t a golden trophy given, but it would sure be cool to have my name on the records pages even with an asterisk beside it.

I guess if I do run FFRC I am almost guaranteed to win. ;)
I am kidding - I’d rather have people to actually race against.

Marty, this is how I understand it works, if you dont run in FFRC class then you cannot get the lap record in FFRC.

That's what I figured. Guess we can't have our cake and eat it too.

So the plan is Vintage V2 on Saturday, and FFRC on Sunday. Wish me luck
