With the alternator drive complete I started building new headers. These are tuned to improve scavenging between 5000 & 8000 RPM. This is how I can get >100% volumetric efficiency in that power range.
Due to larger flowing spread port heads and different cam, I had to fab new headers. These have 2" primaries with the length tuned to the 4th harmonic and 4" collectors tuned to the fifth harmonic which will increase high RPM power. I can easily lengthen the collector and tune to the fourth harmonic and increase torque depending on what I need more of, torque or HP. I also built Supertrapp mufflers to cut the noise for the street. The mufflers are quick to install / remove with a band clamp and one bolt.
