This is a more complex system than the basic install most folks do. There are many safeguards I built into it to prevent engine damage.

The engine must actually be running between 4000 & 6400 RPM, the TPS must be at or above 80% (I added a TPS to my QFT carb), the oil & fuel pressure must be above the min set point, the AFR must be between a user set range (I have it set for 11.5 & 14.0), and the system is disabled while the trans brake is on then enabled 0.1-sec after launch to ensure it never sprays when the two-step is engaged (that would be bad).

The controller also pulses the solenoids to ramp the nitrous to a set point from 20% to 100% while holding the adjustable AFR set point (I programmed in 13.0:1), and triggers the MSD ignition retard based on the amount of nitrous injected (~2-deg for each 50-shot).

The ramp is adjustable so it can bring the spray in based on a number of factors (time, speed, RPM, boost, TPS, ...) and can ramp it up or down or a combination of both up, down, up again.

There is sure a lot of electronic gizmos in a modern Super Pro drag racer. And you quickly run out of space in one of these little cars.
