The new trans required the floor boards to be modified and a new doghouse cover to be fabricated. The original doghouse was made as one-piece as there is not much on a manual trans that can be serviced in the car. However, an auto trans car has more frequent adjustments and serviceable items so I had to make the doghouse modular with many removable access panels. For example, a band adjustment is required after 20 runs so you need an easy way to access that adjustment point.
There is much less foot room now and I had to get a single pedal assembly to move the brake pedal as far to the left as I could. It's still a two-foot operation but now your left foot operates the brake instead of the clutch. Most "super" class cars are set-up to use your left foot on the brake and right on the gas so this is typical of a purpose built Super Pro door car.
