Photo 49 of 153 from Bad to the Bone 33HR

Painter has had the body for three-months now -- just can't rush perfection. In the first month I kept playing with the clutch and could never get the hydraulic T/O bearing to operate like I wanted. Got the delayed release but then could't get the fast disengagement needed for quick power shifts. Mechanical linkage would have been perfect but no room in this little car for that and still have three pedals. So decided to pull the faceplated TKO and stuff in a manual "Glide" two-speed with a brake. This is what most "Super" class cars run -- using a stick was old school and not many go this route. The photo is of the 9" custom 4500 RPM stall converter designed specifically for my car & engine.
