I though about simply leaving the inner door open as this is a race car not a show car. However, it's easy enough to fabricate some simple aluminum door skins and dress up the interior a bit. That blue hue is really the protective PVC coating and will be removed once the panel is installed for the last time. The .032" aluminum adds very little to the weight of the door (about as much as the glass material that was removed) and will be left bare to match the rest of the interior.
