If you notice those three solenoids on the driver's side of the carb -- that's the laughing gas that helps this little small block generate more than 1000 HP. It also generates a big smile on my face.
The engine alone produces 1.97 HP per cubic inch. I remember when 1.0 HP per cubic inch was hot stuff. So much easier to make power now days and to make more than a 1000 HP with a little engine designed 65 years ago, well that's very cool indeed.
