Switching gears while waiting on parts.

More power means an upgrade for the rear axle, or in this case, a complete new M88 custom axle. I wanted to narrow the existing axle and add new style Big Ford bearing ends so it was only a little more to purchase a Moser Engineering M88 with all the mods I wanted to make to my original axle. The M88 center section is supposed to be stronger than the Ford OEM of the existing axle and keeping the existing axle complete gives me an opportunity to sell it to offset the cost of the new. Old axle has 31-spline Moser axles and a Detroit TruTrac LSD that worked fine with the old engine but they are not rated for the amount of power the new engine will produce.

The new axle is 5" narrower and uses Moser's pro 35-spline axle shafts and spool, the pinion is centered, uses a forged chrome moly 1350 yoke, and the large Ford style ball bearings. This assembly is lighter and with less drag than a 9". The axles are rated at a combined 19,200 lb ft of torque and the new engine is capable of applying 15,717 lb ft of torque to the rear axles with the 3.90:1 gear ratio.

Had to fab new brackets for the four-link and coilovers. I'll swap the custom rear cover from the old axle as it is part of the watts link system.
